We created this page to answer common questions honestly and help you feel more confident, informed, and comfortable before moving forward with your project.

Water stains, cracks, peeling paint, and poor repairs can create stress and uncertainty, especially when you are not sure who to trust or whether the problem is serious.

Do you only handle small repairs?

No. We handle both smaller cosmetic repairs and larger restoration projects. Many homeowners initially contact us for one damaged area and later hire us for additional rooms or repainting work after seeing the quality of the results.

Is it possible to change my date?

Absolutely, as long as you provide us with a minimum of 2 days’ notice, you can adjust your date up to two times without any additional charges.

Are you waterproofing contractors?

No. We do not perform waterproofing, roofing, or plumbing repairs. We specialize in restoring the cosmetic appearance of walls and ceilings after the source of the issue has already been corrected.

How does the billing process work?

To secure your booking, we request a 35% down payment with the remaining 65% to be paid upon completion.

Can you repair water stains permanently?

In many cases, yes, provided the original moisture issue has already been resolved. We use proper surface preparation, stain-block primers, drywall repair techniques, and professional repainting methods designed to restore the appearance of the area.

Do you repair drywall cracks from winter settling?

Yes. Seasonal movement and dry winter air commonly cause cosmetic cracking in Michigan homes. Many of these issues are repairable and do not automatically mean there is structural damage.

Do you pressure customers into larger projects?

No. We believe homeowners deserve honest recommendations based on what they actually need. Some projects are small repairs. Others may require more extensive restoration. We explain the options clearly and allow customers to make informed decisions without pressure.

Will the repaired area match the rest of the wall or ceiling?

That is one of our specialties. We focus heavily on repaint blending, texture correction, and finish consistency so repaired areas blend naturally with the surrounding surfaces whenever possible.

Why do you request photos after reviewing the inquiry first?

We prefer a more personal and professional process rather than relying on automated systems. Reviewing inquiries first allows us to better understand the project, reduce spam or false requests, and communicate directly with homeowners before evaluating the damaged areas.

Do you offer free estimates?

We offer estimate reviews for qualifying projects. Many projects can initially be evaluated through photos and project details submitted online.

Can you repair walls after plumbing or electrical work?

Yes. This is one of our primary specialties. We frequently repair and repaint walls and ceilings after plumbing access openings, electrical upgrades, leak repairs, and remodeling projects.

Do you work inside occupied homes?

Yes. Most of our work takes place inside occupied residential homes. We understand the importance of cleanliness, communication, professionalism, and respecting the homeowner’s personal space.

What makes your company different from regular painters?

Traditional painting companies often focus mainly on large repaint projects. We specialize in cosmetic restoration and finish correction after damage occurs. Our work is more detail-oriented and focused on making repaired surfaces feel visually complete again.

What if I am not sure whether my issue is serious?

That is very common. Many homeowners become concerned when they notice cracks, stains, or peeling surfaces. We help explain what appears cosmetic, what may require additional professional evaluation, and what restoration options are available based on the situation.

Why should I trust your company?

Because trust matters when someone is working inside your home. We focus on honest communication, realistic recommendations, careful workmanship, and treating homeowners with professionalism and respect from the first conversation onward.

Why do cosmetic repairs matter so much?

Because unfinished repairs affect how a home feels. Even small ceiling stains, drywall cracks, uneven patches, or poorly blended repairs can make a space feel incomplete. Proper cosmetic restoration helps restore visual comfort, cleanliness, and consistency throughout the home.

Are smaller repair projects worth calling about?

Absolutely. Many homeowners contact us for isolated drywall repairs, ceiling damage, contractor patchwork, or repainting after minor repairs. Small problems often become larger visual distractions over time.

What direction is the company moving toward in the future?

Metro Repair Painters is evolving into a restoration-focused service company that combines repair coordination, cosmetic restoration, painting, drywall services, and homeowner communication into one streamlined experience. The future of home services is efficiency, clarity, responsiveness, and trust — and that is exactly where we are headed.
